This Hippo (Hippopotamus amphibius) was just surfacing to take a breath blowing out all the water that had collected in his nostrils. Hippos are actually closely related to wales that can also be observed with a similar behaviour. As the water was reflecting the dark shadows of the bushes on the riverbank the sparkles showed nicely whilst looking into the sun
